Lauren Romero, AMFT
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Under Supervision of Milia Mahfoud Staggs, LMFT
Hi, I’m Lauren, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m passionate about supporting teens as they navigate life’s challenges.
With over ten years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve worked closely with individuals facing trauma, emotional struggles, and overwhelming life experiences, especially during those critical adolescent years when everything can feel intense and uncertain.
I understand that being a teen today comes with unique pressures school stress, social challenges, identity development, and the impact of social media.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where teens can be themselves, even if they’re not sure how to put their feelings into words yet.
Together, we work on building self-awareness, confidence, and practical coping skills that actually feel realistic and helpful in everyday life.
My approach is flexible and tailored to each teen’s needs.
I draw from different therapeutic methods to meet them where they are, helping them better understand their emotions, process difficult experiences, and feel more in control of their lives.
I believe therapy should feel approachable and collaborative, not intimidating.
Whether a teen is feeling anxious, overwhelmed, shut down, or just “not like themselves,” I’m here to help them make sense of what’s going on and find a path forward.
I invite you to reach out, let’s work through this together.
