Accepting In-Person Clients
Hi, I’m Magdalena, though I go by Maggie! I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in School-Based Family Counseling from Cal State LA and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling.
My background includes supporting children and families in school settings through individual and group counseling, social-emotional support, and parent guidance.
I work especially well with imaginative, sensitive, and creative children, as well as young adults who are discovering who they are and finding their own way.
When working with children, I use play therapy and creative activities to help them communicate in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
Children do not always have the words to explain what they are experiencing, so play, art, storytelling, imagination, and movement can offer meaningful ways to express emotions, explore challenges, and make sense of their world.
Through play, children can practice problem-solving, build confidence, develop coping skills, and discover healthier ways to respond to difficult feelings and experiences. I create a warm, accepting space where each child can feel understood and free to be fully themselves.
I support children and young adults experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem concerns, school or work stress, relationship difficulties, and feelings of being stuck or uncertain about what matters to them.
Together, we can explore values and goals, better understand patterns shaped by early family relationships, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
